Keeping your Garden Healthy in Wet Weather
There has been a lot of thundershowers sweeping through our area. This may have resulted in landscape issues for you like weeds or grubs in the lawn, slugs in the garden or mosquitoes in standing water. We’ve got a great list of products to help you
Weeds
Wet soil is perfect for sprouting weed seeds. Eliminate weeks and grass in beds by spraying with Roundup.
Shiny, light green grass that quickly grows up above the lawn is nutsedge. Tame this difficult weed with Ortho Nutgrass Killer. Don’t bother pulling them, it will only make them spread!
Slugs
Slugs and nails love wet weather! Protect your hostas, strawberries, and vegetables with Bonide Slug Magic pellets. They are safe for pets and wildlife!
Mosquitoes
Eliminate mosquito breeding sites by clearing out water in saucers, watering cans and gutters. Another way to kill mosquitoes before they’re old enough to bite is using Mosquito Dunks. You can apply Mosquito Dunks to any standing water, water garden or water feature and it wills within hours and lasts for 30 days.
